Cleveland, Ohio area singer-songwriter Brian Teubl is back with his new single, Trust In Love, a stripped-down alt rock song that is sure to please fans of bands including Alice In Chains and Soundgarden.  The first fifteen seconds of the song are reminiscent of the guitar playing in some of Metallica’s ballads and the song’s predominant riff feels heavily inspired by previously mentioned ‘90s artists Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, along with Nirvana.  Trust In Love is entirely composed of guitar and vocals and this minimalist approach works well here.  The guitar riff is very memorable and will stick around in the heads of listeners long after the final note is played.

Teubl is the lead singer and songwriter of the band Sonic Sky, who have found success in the Cleveland market as well the UK and Australia.  In recent years, he has ventured out on a solo path which has included his first solo full-length album, Ethos, from 2021, along with several singles in the years since.  However, of all the songs Teubl has worked on throughout the years, Trust In Love is sure to be the most special to him.  This is due to the song being his first musical collaboration with his son, Austin.

Brian handles the lead vocals and Austin provides the backing vocals and the result is a moving, touching song.  The lyrics are simple yet speak volumes.  “Trust in love and you’ll be fine/Fear no more love is kind.”  In our divided world today, it is refreshing to hear a song spreading the message of love.  Both father and son should be proudof what they have accomplished together here and hopefully this is the first of many collaborations they will share in the years to come.
